PORTRAITS OF A PEOPLE

The Rohingya people, a Muslim ethnic group of Myanmar, are quite possibly the most persecuted people group on the planet. They have been systematically brutalized. Untold thousands have been forcibly displaced or intentionally fled, scattered to surrounding nations and beyond. In spite of great suffering I found warmth and even smiles in their midst. Pray that peace which passes understanding would multiply among them.

Photographs are exceptionally powerful tools for advocacy. They make an instant emotional impact. This connection can drive people to take action. I’m praying that these portraits are used by other Pioneers to advocate for the Rohingya people and engage others in considering Gospel ministry among them.
