HIMALAYAS

SNAPS FROM SOUTH ASIA

Home to roughly 30 million people, the nation that holds Mount Everest may be best understood as a colorful collection of regional and ethnic cultures connected by shared ideas of family, spirituality, celebration, music, food, and hospitality. Religion seems to be deeply woven into daily life here with Hinduism and Buddhism as the largest faiths. They often blend together in shared festivals, sacred places, and rituals. Overall, Christianity is the country’s fasted growing minority faith, but it remains numerically small, legally constrained, and socially contested. Pray with us for God to continue raising up local believers to take the Good News to every peak and valley.

Photographs are exceptionally powerful tools for advocacy. They make an instant emotional impact. This connection can drive people to take action. I’m praying that these photographs will be used by other Pioneers to advocate for the peoples of this region and engage others in considering Gospel ministry among them.
